Hillcrest Christian Online Academy provides a private Christian online education from anywhere with an assigned credentialed teacher for every class. HCOA prepares middle and high school students for college success with UC and NCAA approved classes. Enroll full-time and earn an accredited high school diploma from Hillcrest Christian Online Academy, or part-time as a hybrid Hillcrest Christian School student or supplement a home school curriculum. Educational options are available for all types of families.
Hillcrest Academy: Independent Study ProgramOur Mission
As Christians, we believe that God has entrusted us with the responsibility of raising and educating our children. Here at Hillcrest, we strive to be an extension of the home to aid parents in this endeavor. With this in mind, we have extended our ministry to include an Independent Study Program known as Hillcrest Christian Online Academy. It is our hope that together we can help Christian parents educate their children in a way that glorifies our Lord and falls within the legal parameters of the state.
This program is designed to help in two areas:
Hillcrest Christian Online Academy will provide families with support and guidance by offering educational and social opportunities that many homeschooling families lack. We offer a WASC/ACSI accredited program, including a complete on-line curriculum option and a part-time option, which allows Middle School and High School students to attend classes on campus. This program includes CIF participation for those in high school.
Program Options
Hybrid Option:
In the Hybrid program, students can take up to four classes on campus and a minimum of three classes online through HCS during the school year. Hybrid students must go through the same admissions process as the full-time students. Students are welcome to participate in all HCS on-campus activities including sports, clubs, dances and Chapel. Full Time Online: A Hillcrest Christian Online Academy diploma is attainable for prospective students from anywhere in the world. A student can choose to earn all their high school credits through our online course options. In addition, online students who live locally are welcome to participate in all HCS on campus events. Single Course Option: Course offerings across the curriculum are available. Credit Recovery Courses: HCS Academy offers a wide range of classes for those in need of credit recovery. A full list can be seen in the academic course offerings. Dual Enrollment Program: HCS, in partnership with several Christian Colleges, offers a variety of classes that allow for a student to take college courses online and earn credit toward high school graduation while at the same time, earning college credit. |
