Hillcrest Christian School Annual Fund
The people, programs, and facilities that make Hillcrest Christian School an exceptional education would not be possible without the commitment and financial support of the entire Hillcrest community. We prayerfully hope that every family gives to the annual fund and every gift, regardless of the size is greatly appreciated.
The Hillcrest Annual Fund is an essential component of the financial health of the school. It is a part of our school’s formal financial strategy and it is a commitment made when enrolling children at Hillcrest Christian School. The Annual Fund gifts help support extracurricular needs, academic advancement, outreach, and spiritual formation, and tuition assistance. The Annual Fund allows families to make a tax-deductible contribution to their child’s education, in essence making a portion of tuition tax-deductible.

We are thankful for the generous gifts from Hillcrest families for the Annual Fund goal for 2019/20! While we recognize that individual giving will depend on each family’s financial situation, we ask for all members of our community to participate at a meaningful level. Meeting our Annual Fund goal requires that we receive multiple gifts in the $10,000 to $30,000 range. As always, Annual Fund giving levels at Hillcrest Christian School are confidential and anonymous. Generous donations have helped fund the following;
Physical Upgrades
- The two new science labs have been completely redesigned with open ceilings and fitted with all new cabinets, counter-tops and safety showers.
- The library facility is being upgraded to include computer work stations, with increased resources such as access to the Library of Congress and Renaissance AR program support.
- Nearly all classrooms have received a brand-new coat of paint.
- Bathrooms are being renovated in many areas with new plumbing, new toilets, and new touchless soap and towel dispensers.
- All classrooms on the Preschool and Primary campus are getting brand new carpet installed this week.
- The front of the school has been spray-washed, cleaned, and painted.
- Throughout the campus and playgrounds, several landscaping projects have been and are in the process of being completed including pruning, tree-trimming, and general cleaning.
- The sports field is being completely redone with new sprinklers and grass.
- The cafeteria kitchen is being upgraded for the fall semester to provide preschool through 12th grade food services: breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
Security & Safety
- The installation has begun on new security around the perimeter of the campus.
- Our main entry camera will include a thermal temperature sensor that will allow for a non-invasive check of an individual’s temperature upon entering the building, expediting the student check-in process.
- We are in process of installing our new security system at all points of entry: the main entrance, the preschool entrance, and both gates at the front and side of the campus.
- All new secure combo-lock access is being added to all doors and classrooms.
- Our preschool sign-in process has been upgraded to a hands-free system through the Brightwheel application, currently being used for the Summer Camp.
- Installation is nearly complete on the air conditioning units fitted with the UV light system. This system will cleanse the air as it is re-circulated, eradicating bacteria, mold spores, and virus particles including the COVID-19 virus particle.
- The entire campus’ fire and emergency systems are being replaced and upgraded.
Community & Technology
- The new phone systems and upgraded communications systems are being installed and tested. Communications racks and much of the equipment was installed this week.
